OVERVIEW

This walk explores Dubrovnik and Split and four of Croatia’s beautiful islands.

Island hop, visiting remote villages on archetypal Croatian island, including Korcula and its main town Korcula Town, also known as Little Dubrovnik because of its medieval squares, churches and palaces.  We also explore the two islands of Sipan and Hvar, similarly stunning; both have extravagant architecture, gorgeous beaches and stunning coastlines.

Mljet is our last island walk. The island is Eden-like, improbably green and salubriously lush, and home to two salted lakes of Veliko and Malo Jezero which locals have swum in for centuries. A perfect contrast to the other walks.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Island hop between Split and Dubrovnik
  • Tour of Dubrovnik, the pearl of the Adriatic, and time to explore Split
  • Walk and explore four famous Croatian islands: Hvar, Korcula, Mljet and Sipan
  • Enjoy Croatian cuisine and hospitality, and escape from the crowds when walking on the islands

WEATHER

From May the temperature begins to rise so be prepared for warmer days if you walk in summer. Shoulder season, spring and autumn are by far the best time as the weather is perfect for walking and the added advantage of having fewer people around in the villages and on the coast (we walk away from the populated areas on the walk so crowds are not an issue.)

See the weather average temperatures at different times of the year.
