Overview

The Camino Primitivo, also known as the 'Original Way', spans 320km from Oviedo to Santiago de Compostela. This pilgrimage dates back to the discovery of Saint James' tomb in the 9th century, and the Camino Primitivo is said to be the first route walked. Stage one begins in Oviedo and makes its way via stunning Galician and Asturian Spanish villages to Lugo. Stage two traverses rolling hills, beautiful woodlands, and small villages before concluding at the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela. Enjoy hiking off the beaten tourist path, soaking up the stunning mountain views and picturesque Spanish countryside.
